Principal's message

A word from the school's principal

Dear Friends,

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our school’s website. As the principal of St. Aloysius Gonzaga Secondary School, I am proud to lead a school that is committed to providing a holistic and quality education to all our students.

Our school is dedicated to creating an environment that promotes academic excellence, character development, and the realization of each student’s full potential. We offer a range of academic programs, extracurricular activities, and support services that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our students.

Academically, our school offers a comprehensive curriculum that meets the requirements of the Kenyan education system. Our teachers are highly qualified and experienced, and they employ innovative and engaging teaching methodologies that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. We also have well-equipped science and computer labs, our libraries have recent academic resource materials, spacious classrooms with modern facilities and many other resources.

Beyond the classroom, we offer a variety of extracurricular activities that cater for students’ interests and talents. Our sports teams compete at the local and national levels.  We have a thriving music and drama club, debate club, journalism club, art and skills club not forgetting the domestic club among others. These activities provide opportunities for students to develop their leadership skills, teamwork, and social skills.

We also have a robust support system that ensures the well-being and success of all our students. Our guidance and counseling team provides academic and personal counseling, career guidance, and support for students facing social and emotional challenges. We also have a school nurse and a social work department that cater for students with health challenges as well as their social welfare.

At our school, we believe that education is not just about academics but also about character development. We promote values such as respect, integrity, responsibility, and empathy, and we encourage students to be active and responsible members of their community.

I encourage you to explore our website and learn more about our school. You will find information about our academic programs, extracurricular activities, admission requirements, and school policies. You can also contact us if you have any questions or would like to schedule a visit to our school.

Thank you for considering our school as a place for your child’s education. We look forward to welcoming you to our school community and partnering with you in your child’s academic and personal development.

Sincerely,

Beatrice Maina
